Principal's Message 3.7.17

Greetings Brookside Families,

Reminders for Rolling Drop-Off at the Front of Brookside

1. Students should exit vehicles from the passenger side only. This will keep them out of harm’s way as

other cars attempt to leave the lot.

2. The yellow zone in the front is for “rolling” drop-off and pick-up only (meaning drivers don’t park or

leave their vehicles). If your student has items that require you to open your trunk, please use our

back parking lot and park to unload.

3. Unless you have the appropriate placard, do not park in spots designated for the disabled or the lined

areas adjacent to these spots (along with denying a disabled person access to our school, drivers can

also get a ticket).

Lake Forest Park Safe Streets Project Open House: Tuesday 3/21, 6:30pm - 8:30pm

As part of the Safe Streets project (, the City of Lake Forest Park is hosting this open

house event at the City Hall Council Chambers. They seek community input to help prioritize projects

needed to make LFP streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists as well as to increase safe connections to

transit and amenities (like the Burke-Gilman Trail, Interurban Trail, parks, and schools). I look forward to

seeing Brookside families at this meeting. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
