We are seeking students that would like to volunteer as tutor/mentors during our afterschool program at Ballinger Homes. In particular, we are seeking volunteers that have strong math and science skills, or those that can speak another language other than English.

As a tutor/mentor, volunteers would engage youth K-8th grade in academic/homework help as well as enriching hands on learning experiences such as science experiments, arts and crafts, outdoor games and cooking projects. There is a particular need for students to help make pastries; the cooking club makes pastries from the various cultures that the students belong to.
