Refugee Artisan Initiative --various tasks & times

Refugee Artisan Initiative

Volunteering your time is a great way to support Refugee Arts.  Volunteers support our program in all areas of marketing, design, production, fundraising and working directly with our Artisans.

We welcome Shorewood teens 16 years and older to volunteer. Here is our online application form. They suggest that teens apply for the Organizational Impact Volunteer.
Check with the organization for current opportunities. They were active in Summer 2021 and we expect the efforts to continue.
Volunteering with RAI is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience working with a zero waste local non-profit that provides jobs to refugee and immigrant women. Volunteers will contribute meaningfully to our mission to divert a minimum of 5,000 pounds of waste per year from landfills.

Organizational Impact Volunteer:

Help with data management, inventory management, distribution channel contact and marketing team. Can work independently or with a team.

RAI partners with immigrant women to foster an inclusive, prosperous transition to the US through artisan skills training in small batch manufacturing.

A community that values and invests in refugee and immigrant women as they achieve economic independence.
