Pumpkins in the Park helpers needed 10/23
Pumpkins in the Park
This is the scaled-down version of the annual Richmond Beach Community Association's Halloween Carnival.
October 23 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
The RBCA’s Halloween Carnival is celebrating its 35th year. Due to COVID-19 and safety protocols the event will be scaled way down, and it will be at a new outdoor location, the Richmond Beach Community (Library) Park.
The event is called Pumpkins in the Park and is scheduled for Saturday, October 23 from 11-3.
If you are interested in volunteering, please read!!
DO NOT just show up hoping to volunteer; you must have a prearranged spot.
Thank you for looking at the signup page for the Pumpkins in the Park Event. Before COVID we welcomed anyone to come to the elementary school and help work the carnival, this year we are very limited on the number of people we can have at the park at any given time.
Due to the Social Distancing Guidelines given to us by the City of Shoreline, we will be monitoring the number of people in the park. If we have extra volunteers who do not have assignments that limits the number of participants and families who can attend. Students without assignments will unfortunately not receive volunteer hours.
Please do check back at the sign-up sheet as the event gets closer people will change their minds and spots tend to open back up.
Thank you so much for your interest and if you don't have a spot at this event, we can use help for the Turkey Day Fun Run.
An Additional note from Ms. Stephens:
If you sign up to volunteer for this or any other event, keep the commitment. Especially now, organizations must plan carefully to adhere to all guidelines, so if you back up or do not show up, that leaves them in need at the last minute and they have planned for an exact number. Also, when students do this, it gives organizations a negative impression of working with high school students. Communicate clearly, keep your commitments, and thank the supervisors of your events.
We need help setting up a pumpkin patch – be prepared to get dirty. We are looking for help loading and unloading games and decorations into a truck and into the park.
We need carnival game operators, prize attendants, set up and cleanup crews. If you can spare a few hours, we would be grateful for your help.
