iDUB Conference 10/12 & 10/18

Description

iDUB Conference is a one-day conference for underrepresented minority (African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Southeast Asian, and American Indian & Alaska Native), low-income, and/or first-generation high school seniors who are interested in attending the University of Washington for the 2020 Autumn Quarter. The conference will include workshops to prepare you to apply to the University of Washington, along with a campus tour. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn more from current students and UW professional staff members.

Note: Participation is open to all students regardless of race/ethnic background.

Space is limited to 150 high school seniors.

Priority Deadline to Apply and Consideration

The conference is limited to 150 high school seniors who did not attend Shades of Purple Conference in Seattle during the summer. If you attended Shades of Purple Conference in Seattle, please consider attending one of our iDUB Application Workshops. Acceptance to the conference is based on applying before the priority deadlines, submitting a complete application, parent permission forms, and review of application. Priority consideration will be given to first-generation and/or low-income students.

Target Groups

African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Southeast Asian, and American Indian & Alaska Native high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Additional Information

The iDUB Conference is a one-day conference and free to students. Breakfast, lunch, and conference materials will be provided. Transportation may be available to students, if there is enough interested. Please check our registration form for transportation locations.
