Name of Organization: Seattle Audubon Society’s Nature Camp
Dates and Time: July 1st – August 31st, 8:45am-3:45pm (Volunteers sign up to serve for a minimum two full weeks, M-F.)
Description of Duties: Seattle Audubon's Junior Naturalist program provides leadership opportunities at Nature Camp for high school teens entering 10th-12th grade. This position is ideal for teens interested in nature, science, birds, being outdoors, or working with children. Junior Naturalists work closely with staff Naturalists, helping supervise campers, lead games and songs, read stories, and lead at least one group activity per week. Junior Naturalists work a minimum of two full weeks of the summer, but may sign up for additional weeks. An afternoon orientation and training is required prior to the first week of camp on June 27th.
