Community Service waived for Class of 2023

Hey Class of 2023!

The Shoreline School Board Meeting on March 22, 2022, voted unanimously to rescind the Community Service Requirement for the Class of 2023.

We will continue to meet the 40-hour or 80-hour marks with awards. Students who continue to accrue an even larger number of hours (100+, 175+, 250+ in a calendar year) will be eligible to apply for the President's Service Award.

Though community service has been waived for the Class of 2023, it is important for students to still be engaged in the community. Community service is still recognized has a key element for the holistic college application. CS strengthens applications!
