The S.C.O.T. Scholarship

The S.C.O.T. Scholarship - Shorecrest College Opportunity Tribute for Graduation Class 2022


$2,500/year, with possible annual renewability for up to four years. The award’s total potential value is $10,000. The scholarship will be paid by an anonymous donor, through the Shoreline Public Schools Foundation, directly to the recipient’s college or university.


Must be a senior graduating from Shorecrest High School Attending a 4-year college or university full-time

Recipient must have a cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.30


The scholarship will be awarded to one student based on financial need (40%), proven academic excellence and commitment (40%), and involvement outside the classroom (20%).

The scholarship recipient will be selected the donor and their core committee.

Application Process:

Submit the following documents (in electronic PDF in one email) to Suzanne Monson at

  • Cover sheet with your name, mailing address, phone number and email address
  • Copy of your current high school transcript (request one from Ms. Hudson,
  • List of extra-curricular activities you have participated in and/or jobs you

have held during high school (can be in the form of a resume)

  • Copy of your FAFSA or WAFSA form
  • List of colleges and/or universities you are considering attending
  • Typed essay (no more than 250 words) responding to the prompt: “How will this scholarship help you?”

Application Deadline:

All materials must be submitted by 3 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2022.


To be eligible for the $2,500 annual renewal, the recipient must earn at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA in their first year in college, and at least a 3.0 GPA for subsequent years. After each year in college, the recipient must submit a copy of their college transcript, with a letter explaining what they learned in the past year and what they hope to learn in the coming year. All materials must be submitted before June 30.
