Scholarship Opportunity for Korean American Students
Check out this awesome scholarship opportunity:
My name is Grace and I am a Youth Organizer with the Korean Community Service Center. I work closely with our youth council, YouthKAN, in their work in dismantling the model minority myth. I am reaching out today to share a scholarship opportunity for Korean American Juniors and Seniors at Shorecrest High School.
Through the generosity of community members, KCSC and YouthKAN has had the opportunity to vision and create a scholarship fund to support youth in our community who are working toward social change and (re)defining what it means to be a Korean American youth today. We will be awarding 2-4 scholarships up to $3,000 and all applicants will also receive a small award for their submission. Scholarships will be awarded based on students’ ability to effectively demonstrate their inspiration for and commitment to furthering their racial identity development, empowering the community, as well as, a commitment to social justice and inclusion. Applications will close on April 30th at 11:59PM PST.
More information about the scholarship and the application can be found here: https://www.youthkan.net/youthkan-storytelling-scholarship and I have attached a flyer as well. We would appreciate your support in sharing this scholarship opportunity with Korean American students at Shorecrest High School.
