Welcome to the 2022-23 School Year

I am thrilled to welcome back our students in grades 1-12 on Wednesday, September 7! And soon our preschool and kindergarten students will join us on Monday, September 12!
The first-day excitement is a feeling I’ve treasured experiencing myself, and I always enjoy seeing students, staff, and families experience the same every fall when schools reopen. The first day will be extra special this year as we enter a school year full of hope and anticipation for a return to traditions and routines filled with gratitude and grace. We also embrace the importance of community and belonging as we begin this new school year.
Ensuring our students thrive in our schools and in their lives is our top priority. Health, safety, equity, and access are at the forefront of our work, and we join together and draw on our district's shared beliefs:

  • All students can achieve
  • Equitable access to rigorous learning is essential
  • Diversity makes our community stronger
  • Curiosity sparks creativity and innovation
  • Respect, empathy, and collaboration are at the core of community

I look forward to seeing you at the events, activities, and traditions in our schools this year. I am honored to serve you, our students and our communities of Shoreline and Lake Forest Park. Together, in partnership with you, we will work in support of our students, and we will make this an amazing year!
Best wishes for a fantastic start to your school year,
