Darlene Mendoza Gonzales has been selected as the Human Resources Director of Classified Staff, pending school board approval, Superintendent Rebecca Miner announced.

Mendoza Gonzales will be joining Shoreline Public Schools from the Seattle Housing Authority, where she served as Human Resources Manager. Her prior positions in human resources with Reser’s Fine Foods, Ben Franklin Transit and Cascade Natural Gas have also provided her with broad experience in employee relations and labor law.

“Darlene will be an excellent addition to our team,” said Miner. “She has extensive experience and success in supporting highly effective human resources programs and we look forward to the knowledge and ideas she will bring.”

Mendoza Gonzales received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Heritage University and is pursuing a master of jurisprudence at the University of Washington School of Law.

Mendoza Gonzales will start in her new position on July 1. “I hope everyone will join me in offering her the incredibly warm welcome for which Shoreline Schools are so known,” said Miner.
