EMBRACE SYRE

Put on your Syre Wildcat Pride and join us on Saturday, May 18th as we give the Syre grounds a big sprucing up.  Bring your work gloves and yard tools and dig in!

We’ll start at 9am and work through the day.  Come for a while or stay all day - whatever time you can spare.  If you’re close enough to walk or have a larger vehicle and can bring a wheelbarrow and a shovel to help spread bark that would be very helpful.

STUDENT BROADCASTS FOR MORNING ANNOUNCEMENTS

SPRING ASSESSMENT TIME IS HERE!

This week begins our state testing!  Please help us prepare your students by making sure they are well rested, have eaten breakfast and arrive at school on time each day.

Smarter Balanced Assessments (SBA) are the state student assessments in Washington State. All students in grades 3 - 6 will take the test in both Mathematics and English Language Arts/literacy. In addition, 5th grade students will take the Next Generation Science test.

If you have any questions regarding the upcoming testing, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher, or the school assessment coordinator, Heidi Alexander (heidi.alexander@shorelineschools.org).

Thank you for your support and understanding, Syre Staff

DECISIONS ON SPENDING UNALLOCATED FUNDS ON THE PTA MEETING AGENDA

Join us in the Syre library on May 9th at 7pm for our PTA general meeting.  In addition to voting on officers for next year, we will be making decisions on how to spend unallocated funds from the year.  Bring your ideas, your vision and your input!
