  • December Family Activities!

    Join Parkwood staff on this multi-night event! December 3rd: Listen to Latkes and Applesauce-learn about Hannukah and make a dreidel; December 9th: Listen to El Chocolate de Abuelita, followed by a craft; Dec 15th: Hear Mr. Parker read Snowy Day, and create your own snowy adventure. This is a multi-night event. Your family may participate in any or all the events. Supplies have been provided for every night and should be saved until the night of the project.   • Elementary Early Release Wednesday Schedule is updated!

  • Material Distribution Day

    Tuesday, December 1st, our staff will be on site from 2:45 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to distribute supplies to families. Please come to our bus drop off in the back of the school off of 155th. Lots of Parkwood staff - including many classroom teachers! - will be there to hand out learning materials, see you in person, wave, and say hello. We are asking all families to come and we hope that you can make it!

  • Highly Capable Screening and Testing

    Registration for screening and assessment is now open. If you are interested in having your student assessed for highly capable services next fall visit the headline for information, resources and a link to registration. Deadline is December 11th.

  • Shoreline District offers Meal boxes!

  • Student works on sewing masks for our first responders!

    One of our amazing fourth graders is keeping busy at home helping her mom sew face masks for nurses. Doing math and grammar homework and taking time to keep our first responders safe. We love our Parkwood community!

  • Award-winning teachers at Parkwood!

    Symetra and the Seattle Seahawks kicked off the 14th season of Symetra Heroes in the Classroom on Aug. 26 with a first for the teacher-recognition program, simultaneously honoring not one but two teachers from the same school. We are so proud of our Kindergarten teacher, Carla Salmon and third grade teacher Renee Iverson. Iverson and Salmon are among the 16 K–12 Puget Sound-area teachers that will be honored for educational excellence by the Symetra Heroes in the Classroom program during the 2019 NFL season.

  • Award Winning Parkwood!

    Parkwood Elementary has been selected as a State Recognized School by the State Board of Education (SBE), the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), and the Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee (EOGOAC). Parkwood is being recognized for high achievement in Math and School Quality Student Success (SQSS) measures. One of only 137 schools in the state to be recognized this awards represents 'true teamwork' of our Parkwood family.

    Our own PTA volunteer of the year was also awarded and celebrated last night at our annual Shoreline Schools Staff of the Year Awards for their incredible commitment to supporting our vision of success for every student.
