  • Traveling Mural Project!

Parkwood participated in a Traveling Mural project over the last few months! We connected with 8 different schools all over the country, and Mexico. Our K-6th grade students made a mural focused on Kindness, chopped it up into 9 pieces then sent it on to our school friends. They did the same and now we have a collage international mural. Such a fun project! Click the headline for info about each school and more pictures of our mural.

  • Fantastic Author visit for K-2

Julie Fogliano and Christian Robinson visited K-2 last week and it was awesome! We learned what inspired them and their process for illustrating and writing. Julie read us their latest story, Just in Case You Want to Fly, and Christian played a rhyming game. Thank you to Secret Garden Books for such an amazing visit.
