    Aug. 1, 2021: Common Application opens at www.commonapp.org

    Sept. 1, 2021: Coalition Application (including UW Seattle and UW Bothell) opens at http://www.coalitionforcollegeaccess.org/

    Sept. 18, 2021: Virtual Latino College Expo runs noon to 3 p.m. No se lot pierdan! Visit with 30+ colleges and education groups. Win scholarships. Get accepted to some colleges on the spot. Seminars on DACA and FAFSA. https://www.thecollegeexpo.org/expos/virtual-latino-college-expo

    Oct. 7, 2021: Shorecrest hosts its popular Four-in-One Night webinar. This includes Financial Aid Information including FAFSA/WASFA; Scholarship tips; a Personal Statement Tips featuring college admissions panelists; and Naviance webinar at 6:30 p.m. If you miss it, listen to the recording to be posted in Canvas Class of 2022.

    Oct. 15, 2021: Seattle Black College Expo. This virtual event runs 2:30-4:30 p.m., featuring colleges with application fee waivers, on-the-spot scholarships and admissions, and HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities). https://www.thecollegeexpo.org/students/black-college-expo-seattle

    Oct. 21, 2021: Personal Statement/Essay Reading, 3-5 p.m., hosted by Shorecrest counseling. Have your essay draft read by at least two adults, including one college admissions representative, with feedback via Zoom. Watch the weekly Broadcast and morning announcements for more details. 

    October-Nov. 12, 2021: So you want to be a Husky? Join one of the University of Washington Seattle’s freshman application webinars. You’ll hear directly from an admissions counselor about how to complete the Coalition Profile and get tips for essay writing and more. Create your Coalition account in advance and bring your questions.     University of Washington Seattle iDub free application workshops: African-American, Hispanic/Latinx, Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, Southeast Asian, and American Indian & Alaska Native high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher should apply for Oct. 6 (4-7 p.m.) or Oct. 9 (10 a.m.-1 p.m.) and join free workshops on Oct. 29; Nov. 5; and/or Nov. 12 (all from 3-5:30 p.m) https://depts.washington.edu/reach/events-and-programs/fall-events/idub-conference/

    Nov. 1, 2021: Western Washington University Early Action deadline. Many applicants who apply early will hear back in December. Regular admission deadline is Jan. 31, 2022.

    Nov. 14, 2021: National Portfolio Dayhttps://nationalportfolioday.org/schedule. This Saturday event is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m., and is for students in Washington state to have their art college application portfolios reviewed. Expects several dozen arts colleges including CalArts (California Institute of the Arts); Cornish College of the Arts; FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising; Rhode Island School of Design; School of the Art Institute of Chicago; The New School Parsons School of Design and more.

    Nov. 15, 2021: University of Washington Seattle's only deadline. University of Washington Bothell's early action deadline. 

    Free Application Days at University of Washington Bothell: Need help figuring out how to complete your first year application? Haven't started yet? Attend a virtual application workshop before University of Washington Bothell’s Early Action Nov. 15 deadline or its Regular Jan. 15 deadline. Admissions advisors will guide you through the process.
