    Hello Highland Terrace families,lice

We just wanted to check in about some of the health conditions we have been seeing in the last few weeks to keep everyone in the loop and to keep our students healthy!

    1.  We have become aware of a few cases of lice this spring!  Please continue to check your child's hair and to remind your student to avoid sharing hats/brushes with their friends, and to be careful about putting their heads together.  This is not a health concern, and we do not send students home; however, it can sure be an inconvenience and we want to minimize the problem as much as possible!  Please stop in the Health Office or contact Nurse Jennie at 206-393-4344 if you would like assistance with checking your child's hair or if you would like information about resources available to you.

          2.  Some students have anxiety surrounding the SBA testing process. Encourage your student to drink lots of fluids, get sufficient rest, and to bring healthy snacks while your student is testing.

    3. We have seen quite a few stomach aches that come and go and last for at least a week.  Some students are vomiting, some have diarrhea, and many do not have fevers.  Again, fluids and rest are a great way to deal with this.

Please feel free to call if you have any concerns/questions.

  • Thank You for Supporting the Scholastic

    Book Fair!

    Book Fair Family

Thank you to all of our wonderful students, parents, grandparents, teachers, volunteers and PTA that helped make our Scholastic Book Fair a big success! We raised just over $6000.00 for the Library! The profit from your purchases bought new books for our school library. Other donations helped build classroom libraries through our "Teacher Wish List" program.

Thank you for all of your continued support.  We couldn’t do it without you!

    Until next year!

    Thank You Banner
