Camp Seymour
  • Hi Parkwood 4th grade families!

Each year, our 5th grade students attend an outdoor education experience with their classmates.  Parkwood students attend Camp Seymour in Gig Harbor where learn about the environment and participate in daily activities that include hiking, canoeing, archery, workshops, campfires, and more.  Camp Seymour is a Parkwood tradition that builds community, strengthens friendships, and creates lifelong memories.

Sending our students to Camp Seymour requires extensive advance planning and preparation.  Schools reserve their camp dates years in advance and, in 2019, Parkwood reserved October 13 - 15 for the fall of 2021.  As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everything we do and made planning for Camp Seymour extremely challenging.  As of May 2021, Parkwood is evaluating the feasibility of 5th grade students attending 5th grade camp in the fall.

If you have questions about Camp Seymour, please reach out to your child's teacher.  We will let you know as information becomes available.

    Sincerely,

    Parkwood's 5th grade teaching team
