Degrees and Certifications:
HELLO FROM RM. 310
Hey there! Welcome to 2019-2020 school year. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I graduated from the University of Washington where I completed my teaching certification in Elementary Education with an ELL endorsement in 2018. I completed by student teaching at Syre Elementary before scoring my position as a 5th grade teacher here at Ridgecrest. This is my second year as a 5th grade teacher at RC. I am currently in a year long Masters Program in Education for Learning and Technology and on track to graduate this Summer. When I do have spare time, you might catching me reading a mystery thriller, admiring gardens, out on a run with my dog (a sweet boxer named Lulu!), spending time with family and friends or cooking up a storm in the kitchen with my boyfriend!
Classroom community is a top priority in our room. I grew up playing softball and soccer competitively and having a community to depend on and compete with was key. Students in this classroom are held to a high standard in being able to communicate their needs and struggles to take control of their own learning. Another priority in our classroom is to let students be creative and keep them motivated to learn.
After being apart of the Shoreline community for the past couple years, I cannot imagine myself anywhere else. I am beyond looking forward to this year and to watch those around me grow and propser!
