Mrs. April Johnston

Welcome Families to Room 11 and 2nd grade!  

I am excited and eager to work with you and your child this year to build upon their academic successes and make new ones.  

After graduating from Shorewood High School in 1989, I earned a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Anthropology from the University of Washington and then continued with my education at Seattle Pacific University where I earned my Teaching Certification.  

This is my 22nd year as a teacher in the Shoreline School District.  I have had the pleasure of teaching grades 2nd-6th, with a few split classes as well where I taught two grade levels and curriculums within one classroom. I have 2 children who attend Shorecrest High School and I live in Lake Forest Park.
