  • In February 2017, over 73 percent of Shoreline School District voters approved a $250 million bond to construct an Early Learning Center and rebuild Parkwood Elementary, Kellogg Middle School and Einstein Middle School. Design and construction of all projects are currently underway.

    A summary of each project is below. See the web pages listed to the left for information specific to each project.

    Edwin Pratt Early Learning Center
    The Edwin Pratt Early Learning Center will soon be home to 450 of Shoreline and Lake Forest Park's youngest learners. The 55,000 square foot facility will house the District's tuition-based preschool, Head Start and Early Childhood Education programs. It is currently under construction with an anticipated completion date of December 2018. The architect for this project is Mahlum Architects and contractor is BNBuilders. The total estimated project cost is $35,800,000. 

    Parkwood Elementary School
    Parkwood Elementary is currently in the construction phase. The new school will be between 57,500-65,000 square feet with a capacity for 500 students The project's architect is DLR Architects and a contractor will be determined after the project goes to bid in April 2018. Construction on the school will begin this summer with an estimated completion date of August 2019. The total estimated project cost is $40,000,000.

    Einstein Middle School
    Construction on the new Einstein Middle School began in June 2018 with an anticipated completion date of August 2020. The new 150,888 square foot school will have the capacity for 1,071 students. The architect for this project is Integrus Architects and contractor is Hoffman Construction. The total estimated cost for the project is $102,000,000.

    Kellogg Middle School
    Construction on the new Kellogg Middle School will begin in Fall 2018 with an anticipated completion date of August 2020. The new 150,888 square foot school will have the capacity for 1,071 students. The architect for this project is Mahlum Architects and contractor is Hoffman Construction. The total estimated cost for the project is $102,000,000.
