Hello, My name is Brent Allred and I am the resource room teacher at Lake Forest Park Elementary. We are lucky to have 3 para-educators who work with me in the resource room and support our students in the classroom.  There names are Barbara Phipps, Jesse Donovan, and Amanda Downing. I have been at LFP for 3.5 years and have been teaching for 8 years. I recently completed my Masters Degrees in instructional design. Before I taught at LFP I was a special education teacher in the Seattle School District.  In addition to teaching I am also a father of two amazing boys ages 4 and 8 and married to my beautiful wife.  Both of my boys attend schools in the Shoreline School District.  My oldest goes to Ridgecrest Elementary and my youngest goes to the Children Center. In addition to teaching, being a father, and husband I have many other hobbies.  I enjoy playing and watching sports.  My favorites are soccer and football and my favorite teams are the Sounders, Seahawks and Huskies.  Music is another hobby of mine and I love listening to music, playing music and attending concerts.  Another favorite hobby of mine is cooking and eating food.  I find that cooking a meal is a good way to relieve stress, have fun and interact with my family. Incorporating all of my hobbies and interests into my teaching is a goal of mine.  I absolutely love teaching at Lake Forest Park Elementary and since day one have felt like I was part of the family, it is an amazing school!  I look forward to the 2018-2019 school year and helping my K-6 students succeed socially, emotionally and academically as community members of LFP.  I get the privilege to work with some amazing students, teachers and principal.
