PICTURE DAY

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 3

Pictures will be taken through English classes.  If you do not have a scheduled English course, it can be done before school, during lunch, or a free period.

ALL STUDENTS WILL HAVE A PICTURE TAKEN FOR THE SCHOOL YEARBOOK, SCHOOL INFORMATION SYSTEM, AND ID CARD (EVEN SENIORS) - this is FREE for all students and required for our information system.

THIS IS CONSIDERED AN OFFICIAL ID

STUDENTS MUST REPRESENT THEMSELVES AS THEY WOULD ON A DRIVER’S LICENSE OR PASSPORT PHOTO

IF YOU WANT YOUR ASB STAMP ON THE PRINTED CARD, YOU MUST PURCHASE THAT BY SEPTEMBER 1 - ONLINE OR IN THE BUSINESS OFFICE .  IF YOU PURCHASE YOUR ASB AFTER SEPTEMBER 1, SEE MS. MAGAOAY IN THE BUSINESS OFFICE FOR YOUR STAMP.  ASB IS REQUIRED FOR ALL SPORTS TEAMS, PERFORMANCE GROUPS, AND CLUBS SUPPORTED BY ASB.

For students wanting to purchase school photos, this is the packet that will be handed out to students on the first day of school.  You can pay for photos online; for online orders, return the envelope with student name and background choice.

SENIORS - your make-up day for the yearbook is scheduled for September 20.  Contact barbara.moquin@ssd412.org for specifics.  You will still need your photo taken on September 3 for your ID card.

INFORMATION ABOUT SEPTEMBER 3 PICTURE DAY

Summary:  ALL STUDENTS will proceed through “Picture Day” with their English class.  Each class will have an assigned time to proceed to the AUX GYM  where they will have a photo taken regardless if they are purchasing a picture package or ASB card.  All students are given a complimentary ID card to use for the year.  Each class should report to the COMMONS first for students to pick up their picture card (this will have the necessary information for printing out the ID cards).  Once they have their card, they should move to the AUX GYM.  Adults will be in there to help with the photography lines.  After the picture has been taken, students should exit and immediately return to their English class. 

YEARBOOK INFORMATION:

THE PORTRAIT PICTURES TAKEN AT THIS PHOTO SESSION WILL BE USED FOR BOTH SCHOOL IDENTIFICATION AND FOR THE YEARBOOK FOR GRADES 9, 10, and 11.  SENIORS WILL ALSO NEED TO HAVE A PHOTO TAKEN FOR THEIR SCHOOL ID CARD. SINCE THIS IS CONSIDERED AN OFFICIAL IDENTIFICATION CARD BY THE DISTRICT AND STATE, STUDENTS NEED TO PRESENT THEMSELVES AS THEY WOULD ON A DAILY BASIS AT SCHOOL.  WE WILL NOT ALLOW HATS, BANDANAS, OR COMICAL ATTIRE.  WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REQUIRE A RETAKE IF THE PHOTO IS NOT AN OFFICIAL AND APPROPRIATE REPRESENTATION OF THE STUDENT.

STUDENTS MAY PURCHASE A SCHOOL YEARBOOK AT THIS TIME IN THE BUSINESS OFFICE FOR $65.00 w/o an ASB card or $60 with an ASB card.  CHECKS SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO SHOREWOOD HIGH SCHOOL.  THESE PURCHASES CAN ALSO BE COMPLETED ONLINE (recommended way to pay).

SENIORS:

Seniors who missed the summer sessions for the yearbook photo will have one final make-up day on September 20.  Seniors should still come to the Commons on picture day for their ID cards (see note above for appropriate representation of self).  

ASB CARDS INFORMATION:

ALL STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS, ASB CLUB ACTIVITIES, AND SOME ASB ACTIVE CLASSES (I.E. BAND, CHOIR, CHEER, DECA, LEADERSHIP) ARE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE AN ACTIVITY CARD!

ALL STUDENTS WILL HAVE ONE PICTURE TAKEN THAT WILL BE USED FOR BOTH THE YEARBOOK AND THE SCHOOL ID CARD.  CARDS ARE DIGITALLY PRODUCED AND WILL SAY “ID ONLY” IF NO ASB HAS BEEN PURCHASED OR “ASB” IF YOU HAVE PAID FOR YOUR ACTIVITY CARD BEFORE SEP. 1.  ACTIVITY CARDS SAVE YOU MONEY ON SCHOOL SPORTS (GATE FEES FOR GAMES) AND SOME ACTIVITY EVENTS (DANCES).  THE ACTIVITY CARD COSTS $40.00 (MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO SHOREWOOD HIGH SCHOOL) AND CAN BE PURCHASED IN THE BUSINESS OFFICE OR ONLINE.  IF PURCHASED AFTER SEP. 1, SEE MS. MAGAOAY IN THE BUSINESS OFFICE TO HAVE YOUR CARD PUNCHED.

PHOTO PACKAGES INFORMATION:

PICTURE INFORMATION SHOULD HAVE BEEN HANDED OUT TO ALL STUDENTS IN THEIR ENGLISH CLASSES.  

CHECKS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PHOTO PACKAGES SHOULD BE MADE OUT TO ‘DORIAN STUDIO' OR THEY CAN BE PURCHASED ONLINE.
