Is extended childcare guaranteed for all elementary Shoreline School District families?
We are not able to guarantee services to all families. The size of each site varies, and is determined by the history of demand, space and staff available.
-
What does priority enrollment mean?
Priority enrollment means being included in the first round of lottery for slots, if a lottery is needed. If no lottery is needed, priority enrollment means first to enroll.

My student was placed on the waitlist for the 2022-2023 school year, but there was never an available spot for them. Do we retain our spot on the waitlist or do we have priority to enroll for the 2022-2023 school year?
No, our waitlists are only for the current (2021-2022) school year. If you do not receive a spot for this year, you will need to reapply as a new student for next year (2022-2023).

My student has been placed in another school for this current school year, but there is a possibility a place could open up for them before the school year begins. While it isn’t possible to hold spots for all the potential outcomes for every family, we will transfer if there is a spot.

My student is a kindergartener and has been placed at another district school for the current year. Are we guaranteed a spot at our home school extended care program for the following school year?
Kindergarten students are considered returning students at their homeschools. If there are more returning students at a homeschool than spots, a lottery will occur.
