• When to keep my student home

If your child has any of the below symptoms, please keep them at home until the symptoms go away. This can help them recover more quickly, and helps slow the spread of illness at school.

    • Fever (over 100F). Student must be fever-free for 24 hours, without any fever-reducing medication (like Tylenol), before returning to school
    • Vomiting (two or more times in the past 24 hours)
    • Diarrhea (two or more loose, watery stools, or any bloody stool)
    • Sore throat without a runny nose, but with fever, swollen lymph nodes, and/or headache
    • Eye discharge or pink eye (until they have been cleared by a healthcare provider or after 24 hours of eye drops),
    • Open or oozing sores, unless properly covered and 24 hours has passed since starting antibiotic treatment (if prescribed)
    • Student is unable to adequately contain respiratory secretions
    • If your student seems ill and/or is too fatigued to participate in school
