I have spent much of my life flying through the pages of books and encouraging children to join me on the flight. That ride has taken me from classrooms of eager kindergarten beginning readers to classrooms of inquisitive sixth grade researchers. For the past twenty years I have had the privilege of teaching Shoreline students the joys of reading.

My classroom is filled with wonderful materials provided by our district's Title 1/LAP funds. Systematic reading programs, phonics games, comprehension songs and engaging leveled books capture the interest of my students and provide them with opportunities for reading success. It is my goal for every student not only to read at grade level but also to discover the thrill of flight through the pages of a book.
