As of right now, high school cross country, girls' swim and boys' tennis are tentatively still slated to take place this fall, however with GSW being a mostly indoor sport, more direction is needed from the Department of Health.  These three fall sports are also dependent on how we move through the state reopening phases.  WIAA will set additional benchmarks on July 28 for these fall sports.  If the benchmarks are not met, these three fall sports will also be moved to season 3.
Here are the four high school seasons as defined by the WIAA document.  Dates are tentative and the final date listed is the end of the state tournament, teams who do not qualify for state will finish sooner than the posted date. EVERYTHING IS TENTATIVE!!   It is also possible that the WIAA Executive board will modify what post season looks like, which could include elimination of post season, regional formats, and potentially multiple state champions per sport, depending on the model selected.  It is best to look at these plans as being written in Pencil.  There will be additional adjustments, so please only use the below as a starting point.
All of our 20-21 schedules will be adjusted.  Exactly how is yet to be determined, but all will need to be condensed, which means non-league contests will most likely be cancelled and league play condensed to allow for District, Regional or State post season.
HS Season 1:  Cross Country,  Girls Swim and Dive & Boys Tennis
      September 7 - November 8.
HS Season 2: Traditional winter sports of Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball, Boys Swim, Wresting, Competitive Cheer, Dance, Drill

HS Season 3: Football, Girls Soccer & Volleyball  (Note: sports from Season 1 (CC, GSW & BTE) will be moved here if not approved for this fall)
      FB: February 22 - May 9
GSO & VB (and possibly CC, GSW & BTE): March 1 - May 2
HS Season 4: Our traditional spring sports of Baseball, Fastpitch, Boys Golf, Girls Golf, Boys Soccer, Girls Tennis & Track and Field
April 26 - June 27 (teams and individuals who qualify for districts and/or state will potentially have conflicts with graduation, and other end of year activities).
WIAA will post the benchmarks for fall sports next Tuesday, 7/28.  That information will be available on the WIAA website at by next Tuesday evening or early Wednesday.
    • District Bus Policy for Bus transportation has changed this year to save cost, and helps prevent cutting a sport.  The District will only pay for a one-way shuttle to wesco meets.  This means ALL SWIMMERS MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN WAY HOME from all our meets (Some meets may be far enough for round trip, this would be listed on the bus schedule.)  Students are allowed to drive and ride with other swimmers and parents home
    • All forms must be turned in to Mr. Bruns before any participation in practices.
    • ASB Cards ($40) and Athletic Participation Fees ($100) may be paid to Mrs. Denney in the Main Office from 9:00 am -2:00 pm beginning August 15th, 2016
