The classes of 2021, 2022, and 2023 are selling SC masks as a fundraiser! Order them here. We are taking orders through October 31 (this Saturday). Buy one now!
The Shorecrest GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) is hosting a Halloween costume contest open to all Shorecrest students! There will be five categories: DIY costumes (like a toilet paper mummy); queer costumes; scary costumes; cute/light costumes (like a princess or a puppy); and general. In each category, there will be one winner and two honorable mentions. Each winner will receive a gift card! Submissions are due October 26, and the GSA will announce winners on Halloween. Sophomores & Juniors, your class of 2022 & class of 2023 Canvas courses are now available. Go to your Canvas dashboard “All courses” and star the course to get it to show up for you. This is where you will find new community service forms and lots of other important information regarding college, career, and community service!
Hey Scots! Election season is among us so it’s time to register to vote. Go onto the Washington State Voter Register website and fill out the form by October 26 to be sent a ballot in the mail. This only takes 5 minutes! You have to be at least 16 yrs old to register and 18 to vote. Then, vote by 8:00 pm November 3 by putting your signed ballot in a ballot drop box or US Postal box. Finally, remind your friends and family!! Share this with everyone you know because voting is your power and your right.

ONE WEEK LEFT! Senior Deadlines for Yearbook! Due dates for Senior pictures, quotes and Tributes will be all on one day! October 30. Food Services Updates:
- The USDA is allowing school districts to provide FREE meal service for all students through the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
- Weekly meal boxes contain 5 breakfasts, 5 lunches and milk. Orders can be placed online between Monday and Wednesday, and scheduled for pick up the following Wednesday.
- Free and Reduced meal applications are available online. Even though meals are currently free, please apply if you think you may qualify as other resources and benefits may be available to you.
- Weather and Meal Box Distribution: If any weather condition forces a delay or cancelation, we will communicate using the robo-email and phone call system. Be sure to check your messages.
- Veterans Day: Due to the holiday, meal boxes will NOT be distributed on Wednesday, November 11. Meal boxes will be distributed on THURSDAY, November 12.
National Honor Society: Attention NHS members! There has been a change in dates for the 2nd meeting of National Honor Society. It will be open on Canvas Oct. 28 - 30. Attendance is required to be a member.
Tattoo, Shorecrest’s Literary Arts Magazine, will be meeting Monday during lunch! There will be both art and writing related activities, and anyone can join! Please email Mrs. Haines at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for the link :) Remember, be bold, be creative, and come to Tattoo.

Join Tattoo Mon 10/12 at lunch to take part in a spooky fall-themed drawing challenge. Submissions for our next edition of Tattoo will also be opening MON 10/12!!! Our School Office is Open for Online Business and Appointments
Our school office is open for online business and appointments only at this time. School business will be conducted online, by phone or by Zoom appointment in accordance with the Washington State Safe Start Reopening Guidelines. You can contact our office by calling 206-393-4286 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Any in-person meetings will need to be scheduled ahead of time and follow Department of Health guidelines for social distancing, wearing face coverings and limiting the number of people gathered.
Drop-in appointments are not possible at this time as our buildings remain closed to the public.
