Hello! Next week is Spring Break, but new videos will still be released by the district if you'd like to keep using them. I will be taking a break with my family and preparing for Phase 4, which will begin the week of May 4.

In Phase 4, students will be working with me through Google Classroom, so it is very important that they can access their accounts as well as ClassLink. I will continue to communicate with families via email, but I will also be pushing out new learning in preparation for middle school through Google Classroom. I will not be posting any new material here.

    Am I first?

Happy April! I hope you're all doing well! I sent an email to families yesterday with some updated schedule ideas for your time at home. Check out IXL and Google Classroom, if you haven't already.

I finished Fuzzy Mud by Louis Sachar, and whoa! I am glad we didn't read that one in class as our read-aloud! It was about a mysterious microorganism that threatens to wipe out humanity as we know it...yeah. It was actually a great read, and I do recommend it if you're looking for a fast, fun read that parallels our current predicament in a weird way.

Here's a really cool video of how NASA's Artemis Mission (twin of Apollo!) will combine the Orion spacecraft, an orbiting lunar outpost, and the most powerful rocket in the world to get astronauts to the Moon.

Also, I uploaded some photos of our class in the "Photos" tab on the left. :)

Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and are enjoying this sunny and blustery day!

I have been pushing a few activities to our Google Classroom, so if you haven't already, please be sure that you know how to sign in to your school Google account and access ClassLink. The District added some new digital learned options in purple boxes on ClassLink. My personal favorites right now are Kurzgesagt and Crash Course Kids (in Science) and The Kids Should See This (in General Resources). We just watched Pierre et le loup, a fun Peter and the Wolf adaptation, and a good reminder to keep practicing your instruments!

I will be in contact with each of you again this week to see how things are going. The District will also be posting some instructional videos this week.

Finally, I leave you with cats and dominoes. We don't have a cat, but we'll be setting up a domino course this afternoon!
