Mrs. Tami Thompson

I grew up in Oregon City Oregon (end of the Oregon Trail and first city west of the Mississippi!). I majored in Biology at the University of Puget Sound and received my teaching degree at Seattle Pacific University. My student teaching was right here at LFP in a 4/5 split classroom in Room 22! I went on to teach 2nd and 3rd grades at College Place Elementary in Edmonds for ten years. I taught part time at LFP for 4 years while also Chairing LFP's Art Docent program. 5 years ago, I decided to go back into the classroom full time and finally got my dream job of teaching 5th grade at LFP! Bringing art education and opportunites to all kids is a passion of mine. Your child will do a lot of art in my class!

My husband Rex and I have 3 kids. Andrew is a senior at Gonzaga University and Evan and Miranda are Juniors at Shorecrest. All 3 of my kids graduated from LFP.  Our family mission is to ski as much as possible all winter. We love to spend time out in nature enjoying all that the mountains have to offer. When I'm not skiing, I love to swim at Aqua Club, hike, bike, read and spend time with my family.
