About Ms. Green - Library Technician

  • When my son Nathan began kindergarten at LFP, I began volunteering in his classroom and the school library.  (I'd been a Reference Librarian in Oklahoma City and Olympia, WA.)  As he grew and became interested in other activities I began to assist with Chess Club, Bank Days, Global Reading Challenge and served as a Den Leader in Cub Scouts.  I began to sub in the school district on the playground, as a breakfast monitor, crossing guard and enjoyed being a para in Mrs. Wildey's 5th grade class.  After subbing for a year, I was hired as a Playground Supervisor at LFP.  Although I looked forward to seeing the kids everyday at recess, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to work in the Library with Ms. Tucker.  I've never had a job I've enjoyed more!  I love the kids, the staff, and the atmosphere at LFP.
