About Mr. Kleyn - LFP Teacher-Librarian

  • Welcome to the Lake Forest Park Elementary School Library!

Students use our school library to find resources and develop the information literacy skills they will use throughout their lives. Staff and parents turn to the library to find books and technology that will support their work at school and at home. I'm very excited about the year ahead and all of the reading and learning that will take place at Lake Forest Park.

Since 1995, I have taught elementary students as a classroom teacher, instructional technology specialist, and librarian, I enjoy teaching students to be lifelong learners and readers in a welcoming, fun, and efficient library. I received a BA in English and a BA in Communications from Rutgers University in New Jersey and my teaching credentials and librarian certificate were earned at the University of Washington.

My family has lived in Shoreline since 1997, where our two children attend Shorewood.

I hope that you feel welcomed and inspired when you use our library.  Check out some books.  Volunteer.  Stop by and say hello.

We'd love to see you in your school library!

    Frank Kleyn
