  • Hoopapalooza Set for Saturday, Jan. 19 at Shorecrest

    Hoopapalooza returns to Shoreline for its 10th year on Saturday, January 19 with non-stop, high-flying boys and girls basketball action from noon to night! All of the Shorewood and Shorecrest basketball teams will face off for some friendly competition and cross-town bragging rights.

    Seven Shorecrest students were recently recognized with Scholastic Art and Writing Awards from the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent.

    Shorewood and Shorecrest High Schools were well represented on the awards stage at Area DECA Competition held at the Lynnwood Convention Center on January 10. Seventy-four students earned high honors for their projects in 24 different categories.

  • Edwin Pratt Early Learning Center Opens Its Doors

    The Edwin Pratt Early Learning Center opened its doors to 400 of Shoreline Public Schools’ youngest learners on Monday, January 7. The new 55,000 square foot facility at 1900 N 170th St. is now home to all of the school district’s preschool programs.

  • Highland Games Robotics Tournament at Shorecrest on Jan. 12

    Student robotics teams from around the region will converge on Shorecrest High School, 15343 25th Ave. NE, this Saturday, January 12, for the annual Highland Games Tournament. The event will be held in the school’s gymnasium from 10:00 am - 4:30 pm and is free to attend.

    Shoreline Schools parents, students, staff and community members are invited to Prevention Night on January 17 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Shoreline Center, Shoreline Room, 18560 1st Ave. NE. The topic for this year's event is "The Dangers of Vaping."

  • Senior Citizen Technology Help Day on Jan. 21

    Are you a senior citizen? Could you use a little help with technology? If so, stop by the Shoreline Center, 18560 1st Ave. NE, on Monday, January 21 between 8:30-11:30 a.m. Students from Shorewood and Shorecrest High Schools will be hosting a “Senior Citizen Technology Help Day”

  • Spring HiCap Testing 

    Registration for testing for the highly capable program is now open. If you are interested in having your student assessed for highly capable services for next fall, and your student has not yet been screened or tested for hi-cap services this year, you may register them for testing. Please see our testing information page for more information on this test session. You may also access the registration page here. Please note 2nd grade students DO NOT need to register as all Shoreline 2nd graders will be screened for highly capable services at the end of February.

  • Early Release Wednesdays

    Beginning on September 12 there will be a 100-minute early release on Wednesdays when there are five days of school in the week. There will not be early release during weeks when there are not five days of school, such as weeks with holidays or other non-student days.

    You can learn more about early release Wednesdays, the dates they are on and how the time will be used by staff to support higher levels of student success HERE.

    You can find the early release times HERE. Please note that there is a difference between Wednesday early release times and half-day dismissal times. Half-days will be held on November 21 (day before Thanksgiving) and June 14 (last day of school) for grades K-12. There will also be half-days for K-6 students on October 9, 11-12 and March 4-5 and 7-8 for conferences.
