OCTOBER IS RESPECTMONTH: “I have never been hurt by anything I didn’t say.” Calvin Coolidge

Einstein! TODAY at 10:18, we will PRACTICE for safety in the event of an earthquake by participating in The Great Shake Out.  You will hear directions over the intercom that will tell you what to do during the drill and you may have an opportunity to practice in PRIDE as well. We PRACTICE for safety at Einstein so that we can be prepared in case of an actual emergency. It is important that you stay quiet and follow adult directions during the drill. Thank you for practicing for safety by participating in The Great Shakeout.

PHOTO RETAKE DAY FRIDAY ON THE CAFETERIA STAGE: If you did not have your photo taken at the first picture day you will be receiving a note with instructions for having your photo done Friday.  All students need to have their photo taken.  You do not need to purchase photos but if you want them, we have photo envelopes in the main office. If you have purchased an ASB card, please come to the office and get your ASB sticker after you get your ID card.

If you already had your photo taken and wish to do retakes, please bring your original packet back to the photographer in order to have new photos taken. You will not get a new ID card but your new photos will be delivered to Einstein in a few weeks.

Both grades please come to the front of the line at your lunch so you can EAT FIRST and then get in line for photos.

We have a Softball game today vs. Kellogg @Meridian Park Ballfields at 4:15 pm.  This will replace the game previously scheduled for October 24th

Hang Time Update: We have tons of fun activities after school and we encourage all of our students to get involved and stay on campus!  If you haven’t already registered for Hang Time, we will help you sign up in the cafeteria when you come the first time.   You will then receive a card to scan in the cafeteria for quick and easy check in. Need help? Ask our Hang Time staff.

On early release Wednesdays students have two options:  come to Hang Time in the cafeteria by 1:25 or leave campus.  If you are coming back for sports or activities, you cannot be back on campus until 3pm.  Athletes who are leaving for a competition should stay on campus or return right before the bus leaves and report directly to the gym.

SEASON TWO SPORTS SIGN UPS: Interested in trying out for Boys Basketball or Girls Volleyball? Now is the time to sign up! Stop by the main office and add your name to the list. Sports paperwork packets are available in the office and on the Einstein website. If you have already done a sport this year, you do not need to turn in more paperwork. Just be sure you add your name to the sign up sheet.  The first tryout practice is November 5th. Go Tigers!

ATTENTION 8thGRADERS FOR SEASON 2 SPORTS: The only athletic paperwork we keep on file from last year is the sports physical.  You will need to turn in the rest of the completed forms before you may attend any tryouts for Volleyball or Boys Basketball.

Not sure if you have everything in?  Stop by the main office and check with Ms. Alford.

REFLECTIONS IS COMING UP! The Reflections Program is a PTSA cultural arts competition. The purpose of this program is to provide an opportunity for students to use their creative talents by expressing themselves through their own original works. A student may submit an entry in any of these six areas: Visual Arts, Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography and Film Production. Pick up an entry form in the main office. The Reflections Art Theme is “Heroes Around Me.”  The deadline for turning in your entries to the main office is October 26th.
