COMEDY IMPROV NIGHT AT SYRE

Save the Date!  Comedy Court Coming to Syre for a Second Time, Friday, April 7, 7 p.m.

Comedy Court is a games-based short form improv show a la “whose Line Is It, Anyway?” and Comedy Sportz. Using a courtroom setting, the show pits the Plaintiffs against the Defendants in a battle for big comedy points. The audience (aka, "the jury!") decides who wins and who loses. There is a heavy emphasis on musical games. You'll laugh; you'll think. You’ll think and laugh simultaneously. This is a night not to miss!  Fun for the whole family.  Snacks available for purchase.

Featuring -

*Brian Muchinsky * Rachel Meyer * Peter Hannah * Bridget Laflin * Jason Laflin * Cheryl Meckley * Sean Meckley * Andy Casper

Cost is $5 per person or $20 per family, all proceeds go to help fund outdoor camp/education at Syre

**This evening is donated by Bridget and Jason Laflin, Former Syre Parents

BABY ITEMS NEEDED!

Hello Syre Families!  We have a mom expecting a little boy in April.  The family is currently without most of the necessary items to help with his care.  If you have any extra baby items at home you no longer need I am happy to collect them and to pass them on to this family.

Thank you in advance for your support and assistance!!!

TALKING TO KIDS ABOUT RACE

Kids have a way of asking questions that are not always easy to answer. When you throw the topic of race in, it can get a bit dicey. Having conversations about race is not designed to be comfortable, but the need to engage with our youth is essential to having healthy conversations as they grow and as adults, we grow with them.  The Talking to Your Kids about Race workshop  will offer awareness, skills, and practice.

DONATIONS NEEDED! GOT SNACKS!!?

Hello wonderful Syre Community!  As part of my role as Family Advocate I supply snacks to students in need throughout the day.  Additionally we partner with First Lutheran to send home food packs on Friday so our students have enough food over the weekends and on extended holiday breaks.  We would really appreciate any donation of snacks that we could give out during school as well as to supplement weekend food bags.

Favorite items tend to be:

- individual bags of goldfish / annie’s crackers

- granola bars

- fruit snacks

- mini-muffins

- cheese / pb cracker packs

- shelf stable milk (for weekend packs)

Thank You!!

SYRE FAMILY STEM ENGINEERING NIGHT

Mark your calendars for a huge science event at Syre on Tuesday May 2 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.

Sign up: Register here to ensure we have enough supplies.  A flyer with more information is attached.  Please help us collect some needed materials by sending in your paper towel and toilet paper rolls and large pieces of cardboard.  The cardboard will need to be in 18” squares but we can cut it at school if you want to just send in flattened boxes.
