North City Elementary schools was closed at the end of the 2006-07 school year. It is now the home of the Home Education Exchange program.
North City Elementary, located in the north central portion of the Shoreline School District, has an enrollment of 375 K-6 students.
This diverse school integrates programs for highly capable students and English language learners (ELL). Both half-day and full-day kindergarten classes are offered.
All students participate in weekly physical education and music classes. Fifth and sixth graders also have the option of playing in the orchestra or band. The staff includes an on-site speech and language pathologist, psychologist and a family advocate.
A full range of after school activities are directed by teachers and community volunteers.
