Below is a list of avaliable workshops. Clicking on the title of the workshop in the table, will take you directly to the description.
To register for a workshop, click on the Register button at bottom of the description for the workshop. You will then be asked to log in. Use your email login name (first.last name) for the User Name. For the password, you may use either your email password or your employee 5-digit number (located in the top left corner of your pay stub). After logging in, the next screen will be the workshop you selected - click on Register for this class.
After registering you will receive an email confirming that you are registered. You will also receive an email reminding you of the workshop a couple of days before the workshop.

CPR/AED Training
Audience: Certificated & Classified
Presenter: Shoreline Fire Dept.
Location: Shoreline Fire Training Facility
Date: Monday, January 30, 2012
Time: 5:00 - 9:00 pm
Description: This class will cover both CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) training. You will learn the basic techniques of adult CPR and use of an AED. This course teaches how to recognize the signs of three major emergencies: heart attack, stroke, and FBAO (foreign-body airway obstruction), along with the use of barrier devices in CPR and giving first aid for choking. Participants will receive a CPR card from the American Heart Association. Clock hours (4) available. THERE IS A $25.00 FEE FOR THE CPR/AED TRAINING: Please make your check payable to the Shoreline School District and send to Professional Development PRIOR to the class (your check secures your spot). *SESPA employees – because you qualify for tuition reimbursement the amount of the class will automatically be taken out of the tuition reimbursement fund (no paperwork necessary). The cost of the class for coaches and vocational teachers will be taken care of by the appropriate department - please notify Professional Development via email if you are a coach or vocational teacher.

First Aid Training

Description: The purpose of the First Aid Training is to give individuals the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive and take over. Prioritizing care, heat & cold emergencies, poisonings, and protecting yourself are some of the topics that will be covered. Clock hours (4) are available. THERE IS A $25.00 FEE FOR THE First Aid TRAINING: Please make your check payable to the Shoreline School District and send to Professional Development PRIOR to the class (your check secures your spot). *SESPA employees – because you qualify for tuition reimbursement, the amount of the class will automatically be taken out of the tuition reimbursement fund (no paperwork necessary).
