Dear Parents and Guardians:
RE: Attendance Boundary Revisions and Program Placements
As you probably know, the Shoreline School District is in the process of redrawing school attendance boundaries and establishing the site placement of special programs for the 2007-08 school year and beyond.
Based upon the work of the Boundary/Transportation Advisory Committee (BTAC), multiple plans have been proposed and are available for you to view on the Shoreline Schools website (www.shorelineschools.org) under the Boundary/Transportation Advisory Committee (BTAC) heading on the left side of the page. To see the current proposals, please click on the plot maps (May 2, 2007) and the additional H4 and K2 maps (May 7, 2007). Also, please watch the site for further variations on these proposals.
The Shoreline School Board will be having an in-depth discussion of the plans at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 14 in the Board Room at the Shoreline Center. The final Board decision is expected on May 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Shoreline Room.
If you have any questions, please contact your child’s school office directly. There is a notebook available at each school office with maps and details of the proposed recommendations.
Sincerely,
Sue Walker
Superintendent
