Boundary and Transportation Advisory Committee (BTAC)

The Boundary/Transportation Advisory Committee (BTAC) has been formed by the Superintendent to collectively develop recommendations for District consideration in the event that the school board approves the current proposal to close/consolidate schools and relocate the programs. The board is expected to make a decision regarding the proposal in April 2007. Any decisions by the School Board regarding boundary changes would not occur until after a decision on the proposed closures or consolidations.

The Superintendent has asked the Boundary/Transportation Advisory Committee to address the following topics:

  • Realignment of elementary boundaries to accommodate the nine new learning communities that would be created by the proposed school closures and program relocations if approved. (Goal Date: April 3, 2007)
  • Transportation efficiencies that could be achieved in order to serve the nine proposed learning communities. (Goal Date: June 29, 2007)
  • Timelines and possible considerations with respect to the balance of the two middle school/high school feeder pattern enrollments. (Goal Date: October 31, 2007 or beyond)
