Welcome to the Structured Autism Support Library (SAS). Several years have been spent in the development of this resource for the staff of Shoreline School District. There have been numerous people who have contributed to this project.

They ALL deserve a heartfelt appreciation:
Amy Vujovich who continued her support through the toughest of times.
Michelle Ellison for her truly tireless efforts in developing the concept into hard fact. Without her contributions this project would still be in its infancy!
Jim Golubich whose patience and technical expertise gave this project the format needed for presentation.
Dusty Ellison for putting it ALL into the ‘system’.
Chessna Ellison for her ongoing technical and moral support to Michelle.
Rachel Clement for her extreme patience in sorting through our ‘great ideas’ until a workable system could be sorted and labeled.
Brenda Smithers for her steadfast support in the development of this concept.

The purpose of this lending library is to provide teachers with a resource of already prepared materials in the following areas: communication, colors, matching, numbers, math, personal hygiene, living skills, reading, and a library of books on several subjects. Take a few moments to glance through the pages to get a quick view of the types of materials that are available.

The materials are catalogued into what we felt were their primary area of use.

The ordering process is simple. Just contact Michelle Ellison or Mary Walters give us the catalogue number and approximately how long you think you will want it. We will then mail it out to you via district mail. Items are to be returned when you are finished, but no later than the end of the school year. If you see something that is close, but not quite what you need, you may order specific items to be made up.  Order forms are available on request. Any materials produced belong to the SAS library

We also have a ‘materials’ page. Anything on that page can be sent to you and is yours to keep.

The primary purpose of this library is to provide a wide and ongoing selection of instructional materials. There are also some significant secondary benefits. A teacher can keep a listing of which work systems a student has used. This list can be passed on to a new teacher so that they will have a specific starting point to build on.

We would like you to keep the SAS library in mind if you have any materials and/or work systems that you are not currently using. By returning them to the library, they can be made available to other teachers; it makes more room in your classroom and we keep them repaired. Please contact Michelle Ellison or Mary Walters if you have items that you would be willing to add to the library.

Last but not least, if you would like to visit the library and take a close up look you may do so by appointment. Again, contact Michelle or Mary to arrange for a time.

Enjoy, make use of and please give us your suggestions or comments regarding this resource.
