JavaScript

The Shoreline School District website makes extensive use of the jQuery JavaScript library and requires JavaScript to be enabled on your browser for the best viewing results. The page will function to some extent with JavaScript disabled, but some features will not be available. Please enable JavaScript for the best viewing experience.

Cookies

Our website requires cookies to be enabled in order for the language translation feature to work properly. We set a cookie on your browser that stores the default language you have selected and retrieve that cookie when you load any of our pages. The cookie is set to expire after seven days.

Language Translation

Language Translation is provided by Google Translate. We are using the jquery-translate jQuery plug-in to integrate the Google language translations into our site. Google Translate provides automated machine translation which is adequate for most purposed, but doesn't approach the fluency of a native speaker.

Search

The search function of our website is powered by Google Custom Search. The search results are hits returned from the following sites: www.shorelineschools.org, schools.shorelineschools.org and learn.shorelineschools.org.

Online Job Application

The Shoreline Online Job Application System uses the Rainshadow HR software developed by Beluga Software, Inc.

File Formats

PDF

Many of the documents on our site are provided as Adobe PDF files. These files require the free Adobe PDF Reader which can be downloaded from the Adobe website.

FLV (Flash)

The content in the Shoreline Video Album uses the .flv (Flash) file format and is deliverd using progressive downloading (video will start playing before it is fully downloaded). While a broadband connection is not strictly required to view these videos it is highly recommended. The video on our site requires Flash Player 8 or higher. The Adobe Flash player is a free download from the Adobe website.
